Terms of Service.
By using our services you agree to our terms of service.
The Digging Deep Project offers young people the ability to use the Digging Deep and Shadow’s Edge websites, the Shadow’s Edge game, follow our social media and other online products and services. If you are under 13 years (in the European Union under 16 years), we need to receive your parent’s or legal guardian’s written permission.

Community guidelines.
Be kind and respectful with others and do not disclose personal information like your real name, occupation or address. When you violate the Community Guidelines, we reserve the right to delete content you published or disable your account.

License to use your published work. When you make your data or art publicly available through our in-game community or online communities, you assign us the right to use this work and artwork in all media. This is only true for works you publicly share.

Privacy and Data Collection
By using our products and services, you consent to our Privacy and Data Collection Policy.
Before we store and process your data, we ask you for consent to our terms of service. This is important so we establish a lawful basis for processing your data.
The Digging Deep Project is classified as a data controller with respect to its internal processes and with respect to the products that it sells into the marketplace.

We process information you actively provide to us.
For example, your user profile preferences, your writing, art, art shares, and any information you provide when participating in a survey or campaign or request customer support.

We also automatically collect information when you use the services.
For example, device information, your browser or operating system. Additionally, we track how you use our products. In our privacy policy you can see a detailed explanation on how we do this.
We use cookies.
Most web browsers are set to accept cookies by default. We offer you the option to reject non essential cookies when accessing our sites. You can find a list of cookies in our full privacy document.

We use analytics and tracking technologies from third parties.
These third parties may use cookies and web beacons and collect data, such as your device, account information (that you set up with these third parties) and usage information. Examples of providers we work with are Facebook and Google. This Privacy Policy does not apply to, and we are not responsible for, third-party cookies, web beacons, or other tracking technologies. We share your data with partners who help us build our services.
We work with partners like Stickylock studio and GSD Technologies to build our services. We also work with services providers for tracking and analytics. Please see the full privacy for a complete list. All our partners have to agree to keep your information confidential.

We use aggregated and de-identified information you provide to us for research purposes.
We may also share aggregated and de-identified information to carry out research to improve our Services and to contribute to the knowledge on digital tools for emotional wellbeing.

We do not use any automated decision tools and profiling algorithms.

You can ask us to delete your personal data and can lodge complaints.
To do this please write to us at privacy@diggingdeep.org. You have the right lodge complaints with the supervisory authority in your country.

We do not have advertising services in our products and do not sell your information.
We will not contact you for promotional communications.
We do not send promotional communications. We may send you transactional or relationship messages, about your account notifications about releases and in-game communication.
We keep your data secure.
We provide great care to protect the privacy of our players. The player's registration information and player content are stored on their local device and on a central service on Microsoft Azure.
The Digging Deep Project is based in the United States and the information we collect is governed by U.S. law. We also adhere to the European GDPR standard as required by law.
